HMW DNA extraction from animal tissues (24 reactions)
The Nanobind tissue kit is designed for rapid extraction of large DNA from diverse animal tissues including mammalian, fish, avian, mollusk, and crustacean samples.
The Nanobind magnetic disks use nanostructured silica to protect DNA from shearing and facilitate washing to generate the largest and cleanest DNA for long-read sequencing and optical mapping.
This kit has been used to sequence everything from pigs to sea slugs, king crabs, giant prawns, zebra finch, and Antarctic ice fish.
The kit can also be used to run any of the Nanobind CBB Big DNA kit protocols including cultured cells, bacteria, and blood.
Includes protocols for HMW DNA (50–300+ kb) and UHMW DNA (50 kb–1+ Mb) extraction.
Generates consistent read length N50 from 20–60 kb from nearly any sample type on any platform.
Read length N50 up to 100 kb can be obtained using ultra-long sequencing.
Application notes are provided to cover many specific sequencing applications.
All protocols have been thoroughly validated on platforms including: 1) Sequel/Sequel II and IIe; 2) Oxford Nanopore MinION/GridION/PromethION; 3) 10X Genomics Chromium; and 4) any other application where high-quality DNA is needed.
Typical yields are 5–100+ µg per extraction, depending on tissue type and input.

The Nanobind tissue kit is comprised of the Nanobind tissue kit RT (102-208-000) and Nanobind tissue kit 4C (102-208-100). Components from both kits are required to complete HMW DNA extraction from tissue (24 reactions per kit).
